Booths

Alpine Days will feature a variety of booths at The Tent in downtown Alpine on Saturday,  August 11th.  The booths will feature information, crafts, and many other items of interest. Contact Kylar @ 801-830-7336 with questions.

Please come see of the special things from our residents. The food booths will be set up along Center Street and the craft and information booths will be set up in the park behind City Hall all around the tent.

RMPRA Rodeo tickets available for Friday and Saturday nights Rodeo. This year's Rodeo will feature "Mutton Bustin" as part of the half time entertainment. Participants must be between the ages of 4 - 6 with an entrance fee of $10.00. There are only 8 spots available each night so sign up early.

Motorcycle Ride

Saturday August 4th

Meet at the City Hall parking lot at 8:30 AM. Start the engines and leave at 9:00 AM sharp. We plan on going up Provo Canyon, through Midway, Kamas and up to Mirror Lake. We will stop at Provo Falls on the way up. Bring your own lunch as we’ll be eating at Mirror Lake. We will return by the same route except come back over the Alpine Loop. Family Night Bowling Tournament

Times assigned at signup’s starting at 6:30 PM
Cost: $10.00 a person for 2 games and shoes.

Meet at Jack & Jill Bowling Ally (113 South 600 East LEHI) on Monday, August 8th. Be there early so your ready to bowl. Bowl as families or groups. This will be fun!

Evening of Storytelling

7:00 PM, Tuesday at The Gazebo
Cost: Free
Seasoned performer and Alpine Resident Marvin Payne, as well as other entertaining storytellers will be enlightening the audience with interesting tales. Bring your lawn chairs and your blanket for a wonderful evening in Legacy Park at the Gazebo.

Children's Pet Show and Parade August 8th

10:00 AM at The Gazebo (100 S. Main St.)
Cost: Free
Come and show off your pet, tell us what makes it special and win prizes. Please have your pet on a leash or in a cage. All pets MUST be restrained. Bring a plastic bag for cleanup.

Alpine's Got Talent!!!

Thursday, August 9th @ 6:00PM

Timberline Middle School (500 West Canyon Crest)

An event for Alpie's own singers, dancers, jugglers, magic acts, comedians and more!

Registration will be at Timberline Middle School thursday, August 9th from 3:00 - 5:00 PM.  Be prepared to perform a 30-second segment of your talent.

The final show will be that same night at 6:00PM in the auditorium at Timberline.  Awards based on judging.  For questions contact Trisha 801-727-8585

 

Family Picnic

Friday, August 10th - Creekside Park on 100 South 5:00-6:00 PM

 Bring your own picnic dinner and blanket to the park for the evening and enjoy live music.  Desert will be provided by the City - The Alpine Youth Service Council wil be serving FREE ice cream cones!!  Don't miss this fun, family event!!

 

Hike to Lake Hardy (FREE)

On Friday, August 10th our own Mayor Willoughby will be leading a hike to Lake Hardy for those interested in an exhilarating climb up the mountain.

The hike will begin from the trail head in Alpine Cove at 5:30 AM and plan on returning about 3:00 PM. Plan on about a 5 to 6 hour hike up and a 3 to 4 our decent down.

Water Games

Alpine Canyon Crest L.D.S. Stake Center.

Tickets: $1.00 per child

Children 12 years and younger will rotate through game stations; water slide, fire truck hose, and more. No one under 5 years will be admitted without supervision. Every child will receive a popsicle to enjoy during the event!

3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

Back this year! Alpine Days 3 on 3-basketball tournament. Come test your teams 3 on 3 skill against the best ballers in Alpine.

When: Friday, August 10
Youth start at 2:00 pm - Adult start at 5:00 pm

Where: Timberline Middle School Gym
Cost: $25 per team registration fee ($35 game day)

All participants receive a T-shirt. Age groups: 12 and under, 14 and under, 17 and under, 18-21, Adult and Senior divisions. RMPRA Full Event Professional Rodeo

Friday 10th & Saturday 11th at 7:30pm at Rodeo Grounds

will not want to miss this exciting full event rodeo. This year's rodeo will include Bareback Riding, Roping events, Steer Wrestling, Barrel Racing, Team Roping and Bull Riding.

Ticket sales start at 8:00 pm.

Music outdoors under the big tent. This year the music will be provided by Audio Visions. Ages 14 to 18 - Strictly Enforced ; Acceptable ID includes, Student ID Card, Drivers License or other state issued ID. No alcohol or tobacco.

An Alpine tradition. Come watch as a local scout troop raises the American flag, starting the day's festivities.

Pancake Breakfast

Cost: $16 per family, or $3 adults, $2.50 children under 12 or $16.00 for a family.

This years pancake breakfast is being brought to us by the Lone Peak Marching Bank just outside the tent. It is a great breakfast and best way to start off the day of fun.

 

5K Run/Walk
Saturday August 11th

7:00 AM, City Hall.

NEW Start / Finish Location on 100 North by the Fire Station

Pre-registration fee $5 or $7 day of the race. 

Start and finish at Alpine Fire Station. Trophies to top male and female finishers.  Individual trophies also to top three places in each age category. 

Pre-register at the City Hall Monday - Thursday  3:00-7:00 PM or Sat. 6:00-6:30 AM-at the race; or anytime by calling Mike Evans (756-7820). 

Around-the-BlockToddler Trot

8:30 AM, Alpine Fire Station.

Individual awards to every participant. Registration times are the same as for the 5K Run/Walk. Pre-registration fee is $2; race day fee is $3. Call Mike Evans (756-7820). Purchase tickets at City Hall.

CLASSIC CAR "SHOW-OFF" (FREE)
9 AM to 2 PM, Saturday August 11th
Where: Red Brick Church,
          165 North 100 East
Come join us for the 5th Annual Alpine Days Classic Car “Show-Off”. Alpine Days volunteers have been working hard to give us this opportunity to see what special vehicles Alpine residents have stowed away in their garages. There will be no judging, just a chance for our Alpine neighbors to see some great automobiles. Do you have an old car that you're proud of and would like to "Show-Off"? There still may be some time to get it into the show. The registered owner must be an Alpine resident.

Car Show Registration forms may be picked up and dropped off at Alpine City Hall, 20 North Main street or by emailing Will Jones at will@pinevalley.net or by phone at (801) 756- 3581. Registration must be completed by Thursday, August 11th.

 

City Park Events

Inflatable's in the Park
11:00 AM - 3:00 PM Legacy Park and North of the big tent

There are two areas for inflatable's this year. The inflatable's north of the tent will be for children 8 years or younger. Inflatable's in Legacy Park will be for all children. Pre-purchase wristbands at City Hall for $5.00 or on Saturday for $6.00 at the Gazebo in the Park.

Pioneer Relic Hall Tours
11:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 50 N. Main Street. Don't pass up this "golden" opportunity to become acquainted with Alpine's "early builders" and gain a greater appreciation of the Legacy of Alpine.

Historic Moyle Park Tours
2:00 - 4:00 PM, Moyle Park 770 North 600 East. Enjoy the history of Alpine by visiting the Historic Moyle Park. For information call Richard Vernon 830-3502

 

2012 Parade Enrty Form

Alpine Days Parade
Saturday, August 11th

10 AM, Downtown.

Enjoy this years theme as you watch your friends and neighbors in this years parade.  This year the parade will start from Red Pine Drive and Main Street and end at Alpine Elementary School.  Entry forms are available at City Hall. During the line-up time, Red Pine Drive will temporarily be turned into a one-way street.   Residents should be prepared to use alternate streets coming to and from their homes during this time.  Road closures will be in effect approximately 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Alpine Days Art and Quilt Show
Saturday, August 11th

11:00 AM- 4:00 PM (Following Parade)
Where: Mountainville Chapel (Red Brick Church, 165 North 100 East). Please come to the Mountainville Chapel for a wonderful and diverse show. Registration and check-in for participants is Thursday August 6th from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Mountainville Chapel. All entries need to be picked up by Saturday at 5:00 PM or they will be left unattended.
General guidelines for all Alpine Arts Council shows: Alpine Arts Council is not responsible for lost or damaged materials.  The exhibit will be monitored by a host at all times.

     Quilt and Textile Show
Only pieced quilts are accepted.  Antique quilts are welcome.  Please bring a written background about the quilt to display with the entry if possible.  As usual we look forward to your new creations in pieced quilts, knitting, embroidery, weaving, cross-stitch, etc.  No more than four quilts per person.  Please call Paula McKinlay, 756-0163 or Sherry Boren,  360-0211 for questions and details about this enjoyable show.

     Art Show, “Beauty of our World”
